The Board of Trustees created the Design Review Board which functions pursuant to the code of the Village of Russell Gardens. Accordingly, the Board’s purpose is to preserve and promote the character and appearance and conserve the property values of the village. This is accomplished by providing procedures for a design review of buildings to be erected, reconstructed or altered, which will encourage good qualities of exterior building design and appearance, and to relate well to surrounding buildings, and to prevent design that is inappropriate by reason of poor quality of exterior or visual discord in relation to buildings on surrounding sites.

The Design Review Board and its Chairman are appointed by the Trustees of the Village of Russell Gardens. It consists of five members, including the Chairperson. Questions concerning procedures and requests for applications are available thru the Village Clerk.

The Design Review Board meets as needed.
